Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does the College of Law grading curve apply to this course?
A: No.  In order to promote participation by students from disciplines outside of law, this course is exempt from the College of Law grading curve.  See "note 37" on the official schedule.


Q: Has Professor Snyder taught this course in the past?
A: Yes.  He taught it in the Spring of 2011 ans 2008.  He also taught National Security Law at another law school in 2005, 2006 and 2007.  He has taught Prosecuting Terrorists during seven terms at Syracuse University College of Law.

 


Q: Since they use the same update, can I use the book National Security Law, 5th Edition, instead of buying Counterterrorism Law, 2nd Edition?
A: No. That was not recommended when dealing with National Security Law 4th Edition and Counterterrorism Law, 1st Edition. Yhe newer versions of both books have diverge even more. Students of this course need to use Counterterrorism Law, 2nd Edition (2012).
